Manufactured in the UK, our 50mm thick Campervan Insulation offers a safe, sustainable and cost-effective way to insulate your campervan.
It is suitable for all vehicle applications, is non-irritant and requires no protective clothing when installing. It will not absorb moisture and does not support mould growth.
This insulation meets all the furniture and furnishings fire and safety regulations, including the British standard: BS5852.
To achieve maximum effectiveness, the insulation should not be tightly packed. Easy to install, users can push it into the cavities and adhere it with the “TRIMFIX” High Temp Spray adhesive, with each can covering an area of 3.5m².
This insulation can be cut using a straightedge and a stanley knife, or simply torn apart. Apply directly to the walls of the van, behind a 6mm plywood base layer. Recycled Plastic vs Our Dacron Insulation
Both recycled plastic and Dacron insulation are popular choices for campervan conversions – but there are some key differences. Recycled plastic insulation is made from PET bottles, making it an eco-friendly option that reuses waste materials. It offers good thermal and acoustic performance, is lightweight, and resists moisture and mould. Dacron, however, takes things a step further. Made from virgin polyester fibres, it offers a more consistent, high-quality material that won’t break down, flatten, or clump over time. Dacron is naturally hydrophobic, meaning it won’t absorb moisture, so your van stays warm, dry, and mould-free. It’s also completely safe to handle, non-itch, and quick to install – perfect for awkward cavities, walls, and ceilings.

Please note: Our insulation is vac packed into bags which make the packed rolls easier to handle and reduce storage space. However, by vac packing the material is compressed and the thickness is reduced by around 10%. Upon opening the bag, the material will recover, but this depends on how long it is left to rest, warmth and humidity.
